SEPTEMBER SAPPHIRE CRESCENT MOON Lariat Necklace: Adjustable Sterling Silver chain

Our September birthstone is Sapphire, and once again we have some lovely examples to use in our earrings and necklaces! The beautiful blues work so well with both our brass and silver!

My "Lariat" style necklaces are made with two oxidized Sterling Silver chains that are connected together with a traditional clasp in the back for either a 16" or 18" base length: one chain has a solid Silver ring at its end creating the loop or "lariat" that allows the other chain's end, with the lovely, faceted, Sapphire Crescent Moon to be suspended through. We create these necklaces to be clasped at 16" or 18" long, with an extra 1 1/2" more of the chain dropped through the lariat to suspend the moon, creating a 19" max length that can be drawn up tighter if you prefer. 

Sapphire is said to be the wisdom stone, stimulating concentration, enhancing creativity and promoting purity and depth of thought. It is believed to focus and calm the mind as well as remove unwanted thoughts, depression and mental tension. In many ancient cultures, this precious gem was believed to make connections with the spirit world. Some people even believed that they allowed for communication with the Gods. It is said that people who visited the oracles would wear a sapphire ring (or other sapphire jewelry) to help receive a prophetic message.
