ELEMENTAL ALCHEMY EARRINGS IN OXIDiZED STERLING SILVER

As we all learned, the ancient Greeks believed that there were just four elements from which everything was made: earth, water, air, and fire. This theory was suggested around 450 BC, and it was later supported and added to by Aristotle. (Aristotle also suggested that there was a fifth element, "aether", because it seemed strange that the stars would be made out of earthly elements...)

This design incorporates these four elements symbolically and symmetrically, two above (air and fire) and two below (water and earth) a circular center point, which represents the fifth element! These are available as earrings in either Oxidized Brass or Oxidized Sterling Silver, and I've also created matching necklaces in both metals!

These pieces measure just a touch over 3" tall x 3/4" wide, and these hang 3 1/2" from their Sterling Silver earwires to the bottom points of the earth-symbol's triangles.
