Turquoise Taliswoman Gold Necklace #1

$150

Our December birthstone is TURQUOISE, and once again we have some lovely gemstones to use in our earrings and necklaces!

This beautiful, raw Turquoise gemstone is 1" tall x 9/16" wide x 1/4" thick. It is suspended from our small 24K GOLD VERMEIL Bail, wrapped with 14K gold wire, and it hangs from an 16"/18" adjustable 14K GOLD fill chain.

Turquoise is perhaps the oldest decorative stone in mankind's history, the Taliswoman of Kings and Queens, Shamans, and Warriors. It is a stone of protection, strong and opaque, yet soothing to the touch. The delicate veining or mottled webbing in cream or brown is inherent to the stone and serves to enhance its character.

The name Turquoise is derived from the French, pierre turquoise, meaning “Turkish stone,” because the trade routes that brought Turquoise to Europe from the mines in central Asia went through Turkey, and Venetian merchants often purchased the stone in Turkish bazaars.

For thousands of years, Turquoise has spanned all cultures, prized as a symbol of wisdom, nobility and the power of immortality. Among the Ancient Egyptians, Persians and Chinese, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and Native North Americans, Turquoise was sacred in its adornment and for power, luck, and protection. Turquoise strengthens the meridians of the body and the subtle energy fields, enhancing communication between the physical and spiritual worlds. Placed on the Third Eye, it supports intuition and meditation. On the throat chakra, it releases old vows, inhibitions, and allows the soul to express itself once more.

These pendants are made with GOLD VERMEIL! (Vermeil is a premier version of a thick electro-plating of 23.5 karat gold over a solid sterling silver base- it's the right solution for us to provide everyone who wants their 永 pieces in GOLD that are durable, beautiful and affordable!)  Still, we recommend that you wear these pieces gently and thoughtfully. The Vermeil is a surface finish after all, and although these pieces are quite stable, wearing these items regularly in the shower, for example, or while swimming (where various chemicals or elements could be abrasive to the finish over time) or being too rough with them, like tossing them onto a nightstand, could definitely damage their beauty!

A ONE OF A KIND PIECE!
